This latch attaches to the body of the Trusted Cleanwet/dry vacuum, and holds theassembly in place. If the latch becomes bent or broken, it will not create a great seal between the vac head assembly, the , and the vacuum recovery tank. If one or both latches are compromised, you could lose some amount of suction.
